The Club recognises the vital role of volunteers and realises it cannot meet it’s aims and objectives without the help and support of volunteers from members/parents/guardians/carers. The following principles must be adhered to by all volunteers within the Club together with the Scottish Swimming and Club’s Child Protection Policies and where required be a member of Scottish Swimming:-
Consider the well being and safety of swimmers at all times.
Support and encourage swimmers, whenever possible, in all their efforts for the Club in compliance with the Swimmer’s Code of Conduct.
Behaviour and personal conduct must be of a high standard at all times.
Be a positive role model and set good examples.
Treat everyone equally, with respect and dignity.
Encourage swimmers to accept responsibility for their own performance and behaviour.
Co-operate and assist coaches as required.
Hold the appropriate qualifications, where required, eg lifeguarding; timekeeping etc.
Recognise the importance of fun and enjoyment in the sport.
Actively support the Club in it’s fundraising and other activities
