Division 1 League Champions 2019

Blairgowrie Dolphins ASC is foremost a competitive swimming club.  Competing is an important way for swimmers to record their development, whether it be against the friends, the clock, or swimmers from other clubs.

There are many types of Galas for swimmers to compete in.  When the coaches believe a swimmer is ready, they will encourage them to enter a gala appropriate to their age and level.  The coaches will offer advice on what races to enter based on ability.

When swimmers reach that stage, we have a Guide to Galas which provides comprehensive information on what to expect and how to prepare.

It is likely that swimmers will be nervous about their first Gala – this is only natural.   All members of our club have experienced this, and they will offer help and support when needed. The most important thing is for our swimmers to enjoy themselves and have fun!

Club Championships

In Autumn each year, Blairgowrie Dolphins ASC hold their annual Club Championships.  The club has an expectation that all swimmers will try to attend.  It is a very relaxed, fun and friendly event.  All swimmers will get a chance to race other swimmers in their age group.  A great way to enter the world of competition! Following the Club Championships (normally in late November), the club hosts a Presentation Night & Disco where medals and trophies won at the Club Championships are awarded and achievements made by those involved in the club over the past year are celebrated. It’s also a fun social event for the swimmers and a great opportunity to meet other parents.
