We are pleased to welcome you to Blairgowrie Dolphins Amateur Swimming Club where we provide swimmers with excellent coaching in a friendly environment so they can develop as a competitive swimmer.  Whether you want to improve technique and stamina or have ambitions to swim competitively at local, district or national level, this is the club for you!

How do you join?

We hold regular trials for swimmers throughout the year.  Dates and times will be advertised on our Facebook page.

How old do you have to be to join the club?

We don’t have an age restriction for joining the club, instead swimming ability is key which means there are no beginners in the club.  Most swimmers reach the end of their swimming lessons programme e.g. Scottish Swimming Award Scheme Level 4 and may have joined the ‘Club Ready’ programme which is the preferred pathway to joining our club.

What days of the week does training take place?

There are training sessions on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Although we encourage swimmers to attend as many sessions as possible, they can attend any number of sessions they wish on any of the available days for their particular Squad.

How much does it cost to join?

This depends on how many sessions the swimmer attends per week. Click here for more details.

Are the coaches qualified?

Yes, all of our lead coaches are qualified and experienced. All coaches have recognised governing body swimming coaching and teaching qualifications.
